Cr Dawn Crichlow Officiates Duffy Down Under, The Electric Boat Company’s Opening!

Cr Crichlow to launch Electric Boat venture at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show

Cr Dawn Crichlow tomorrow will officially launch the first Australian franchise of the world’s largest electric

boat manufacturer at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. Duffy Down Under, will introduce

Australia to its range of environmentally friendly electric boats which are emission-free and require low

maintenance. Its California-based parent company, Duffy Electric Boats, produces a range of different models

which are sold throughout the world. Cr Crichlow said the electric boats could carry up to 10 people and

would be ideal for family outings, entertainment or just exploring the many canals and waterways of the Gold

Coast. The Duffy electric boats are battery-powered and can cruise at almost 10 kilometres per hour, with a

range of more than 70 kilometres between charges.
